Bloomington Worldwide Friendship, Inc.

Bloomington Worldwide Friendship, Inc. has fostered friendships between Indiana University’s international visitors and the Bloomington community since 1953. The organization is an independent nonprofit run by volunteers committed to nurturing a global community that promotes cross-cultural understanding. It has no political or religious affiliations. Since its inception, Bloomington Worldwide Friendship has been a major source of hospitality and friendship to thousands of visiting students and scholars who have reciprocated by sharing their unique cultures with the people of Bloomington.

Our mission

The mission of Bloomington Worldwide Friendship, Inc. is to create a global community within Bloomington by connecting community members with Indiana University’s international students and scholars. We hope that the friendships built through our organization will foster a mutual understanding among world cultures that extends from Bloomington around the world.
